The original version of Pippin (titled "Pippin, Pippin") was written by Stephen Schwartz and Ron Strauss, and bears no resemblance to the later show.  It was produced in April 1967 for Carnegie-Mellon University’s Scotch 'n' Soda club, and this cast recording was recorded.
