January 1996 - Off Broadway (Press Reel)
Anthony Rapp (Mark Cohen), Adam Pascal (Roger Davis), Daphne Rubin-Vega (Mimi Márquez), Wilson Jermaine Heredia (Angel Dumott Schunard), Jesse L Martin (Tom Collins), Idina Menzel (Maureen Johnson), Fredi Walker (Joanne Jefferson), Taye Diggs (Benjamin Coffin III), Aiko Nakasone (Alexi Darling and others), Kristen Lee Kelly (Mark's mom and others), Timothy Britten Parker (Gordon/Mr. Grey)
Approx 80 mins of press reels. Some versions in circulation are 20. Also includes Press Reel created to promote the CD release, 20 minutes of different footage, but the only source for this I've found is Youtube rip.
19th April 1996 - Broadway
Anthony Rapp (Mark Cohen), Adam Pascal (Roger Davis), Daphne Rubin-Vega (Mimi Márquez), Wilson Jermaine Heredia (Angel Dumott Schunard), Jesse L Martin (Tom Collins), Idina Menzel (Maureen Johnson), Fredi Walker (Joanne Jefferson), Taye Diggs (Benjamin Coffin III)
The infamous ‘opening night’ video that really isn’t. Suffers from rainbows and generation loss plus the equally infamous black lines from HNY through GL. Last 5 min. are jumpy, piano bars leading into SOL missing due to a DV glitch during transfer.
1st May 1996 - Broadway
Anthony Rapp, Adam Pascal, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Jesse L. Martin, Wilson Jermaine Heredia, Fredi Walker, Taye Diggs, Sherie Renee Scott (u/s)
Very poor quality due to generation loss, barely watchable, was probably a nice video at one point, picture comes in and out.

9th January 1997 - Broadway
Gilles Chiasson (u/s Mark Cohen), Adam Pascal (Roger Davis), Daphne Rubin-Vega (Mimi Márquez), Wilson Jermaine Heredia (Angel Dumott Schunard), Jesse L Martin (Tom Collins), Idina Menzel (Maureen Johnson), Shelley Dickenson (u/s Joanne Jefferson), Taye Diggs (Benjamin Coffin III), Aiko Nakasone (Alexi Darling and others), Norbert Leo Butz (u/s Steve and others)
It’s a 90’s RENT video. The cast and performance are significantly better than the shoot (no zooms, only about half the stage from a severe angle most of the time) or video quality. It’s cleaned up so not as bad as it COULD be, but it’s not amazing. The audio is excellent
February 1997 - Broadway
Adam Pascal (Roger), Norbert Leo Butz (u/s Mark), Daphne Rubin-Vega (Mimi Marquez), Jesse L. Martin (Collins), Wilson Jermaine Heredia (Angel), Idina Menzel (Maureen), Fredi Walker (Joanne), Taye Diggs (Benny)
Filmed from the right side of the mezzanine. More wide show than anything with spotlight washout. Full show, and another better shot (seen on the last photo), performance on the end than lasts until part-way through Tango Maureen, which I believe is the "Opening Night" video. VOB+Smalls
10th June 1997 - Broadway
Norbert Leo Butz (u/s Mark Cohen), Adam Pascal (Roger Davis), Marcy Harriell (Mimi Márquez), Wilson Jermaine Heredia (Angel Dumott Schunard), Jesse L Martin (Tom Collins), Idina Menzel (Maureen Johnson), Fredi Walker (Joanne Jefferson), Taye Diggs (Benjamin Coffin III), Aiko Nakasone, Gwen Stewart, Kristen Lee Kelly
There's a lot of generation loss, scan lines, and grain, and the video itself is shot in almost pure wide shot. There's not a single face that can be seen clearly, even in the occasional zooms, and the audio can be muffled at times. There's a constant low hiss sound that can be heard but if you do love the show, this is still an interesting video to have. Likely mislabeled date, as Michael McElroy and Sherie Rene Scott joined the company in July, 1997, which is also likely why the cast has been misidentified for many years.
24th July 1997 - Broadway
Anthony Rapp (Mark Cohen), Adam Pascal (Roger Davis), Marcy Harriell (Mimi Marquez), Wilson Jermaine Heredia (Angel Dumott Schunard), Michael McElroy (Tom Collins), Sherie Rene Scott (Maureen Johnson), Fredi Walker (Joanne Jefferson), Taye Diggs (Benjamin Coffin III (Benny))
Colours are muted and washed out, spotlight wash as well. Annoying flicker. Only known vid of Sherie. Shoot is OK, as is the sound. Smoothed out a bit in remastering but not perfect. Has some TV clips of mixed to low quality at the end.
25th October 1998 - Broadway
Matt Murphy (Mark u/s), Norbert Leo Butz (Roger), Marcy Harriell (Mimi), Calvin Grant (Collins u/s), Wilson Cruz (Angel), Carla Bianco (Maureen), Gwen Stewart (Joanne), Jacques C. Quite fuzzy and audio hissing. Not always pointed at the stage, but there are some really nice zooms. Also often listed as 1st October 1998. VOB and Smalls.

Smith (Benny), Carly Thomas (Mrs. Cohen), Shelley Dickinson (Mrs. Jefferson/Soloist #1), Byron Utley (Mr. Jefferson/Soloist #2), Mark Setlock (Gordon), Darryl Ordell (Paul), Tony Vincent (Steve u/s), Tina Ou (Alexi)
Act 2 only, blind shot of the stage. Some scenes you can see Ok, some the camera misses almost entirely.
11th September 1999 - Broadway
Jim Poulos (Mark Cohen), Manley Pope (Roger Davis), Karen Olivo (u/s Mimi Márquez), Jai Rodriguez (u/s Angel Dumott Schunard), Calvin Grant (u/s Tom Collins), Tamara Podemski (Maureen Johnson), Kenna J Ramsey (Joanne Jefferson), Jacques C Smith (Benjamin Coffin III), Hallie Bulliet (Alexi Darling and others), Carly Thomas (Mark's mom and others), Chad Richardson (Gordon/Mr. Grey), Byron Utley (u/s Mr. Jefferson/Soloist #2 and others), Shayna Steele (Mrs. Jefferson/Soloist #1 and others), Owen Johnston II (Steve and others)
Audio’s OK. Video isn’t great, even for a video of its era. Shoot’s mixed, very jumpy, video couldn’t be thoroughly deblocked and the source has some interlacing issues which were burned in pre-remastering. Act 1 only and not complete. VOB.
1st September 2000 - Broadway
Trey Ellett, Manley Pope, Loraine Velez, Cristina Fadale, Danielle Lee Greaves, John Eric Parker, Peter Matthew Smith

Nightmare source video. Massively oversaturated in some areas, washed out in others. Cleaned as best as possible, which still doesn’t help that much. Has a couple rare songs.

Commonly mislabelled as 28th April. Basically visuals with no sound, but does include an MP4 version of the video synced with the audio from 2003-03-28 (which does not have the same cast). VOB with smalls.
11th August 2003 - Broadway

There is a bar from the balcony in the wide shots only; crystal clear with excellent close ups! Ends around Goodbye Love as the last VOB doesn't play. If anyone has a full copy, I'd love to get it.

Excellent video from the left mezzanine; follows the action on stage nicely. Lots of closeups. Act 1 starts at the beginning of Mark's monologue and Act 2 turns into mostly audio only at the end of Finale B. Joshua drops the film projector at the beginning of the finale!. Rating: A

Cary Shields (Roger), Matt Caplan (Mark), Karmine Alers (Mimi), Destan Owens (Collins), Kelly Karbacz (Maureen), Justin Johnson (Angel), Merle Dandridge (Joanne), D'Monroe (Benny), Ava Gaudet* (Mark’s Mom)
Incomplete. Unfortunately, there’s a few head dead center that blocks some of the action downstage. Luckily, the taper films around it pretty well, but there are some shots where it’s hard not to notice. Great clear and great close ups – the colors are wonderful. The cast leaves a little something to be desired

Act 2 is nearly complete; Act 1 captures Tune Up #3, One Song Glory, Today 4 U Out Tonight, I’ll Cover You, the end of Christmas Bells through LVB-B. A great video with great sound of a great cast despite an occasional head; crystal-clear close-ups; a near-perfect capture of Karmine’s amazing Out Tonight. VOB With Smalls.

The original Broadway cast of Rent reunites for Rent 10, a one night-only, benefit concert version of the show to mark the 10th anniversary of Jonathan Larson's landmark musical. Includes intro speeches by Allan Gordon, Mayor Bloomberg, Senator Schumer. Beautifully shot, amazingly clear video. An enthusiastic audience and a few flubs by the cast makes this video even more fun. SunsetBlvd79's master. VOB.

Luther Creek (u/s Mark), Matt Caplan (Mark), Tim Howar (Roger), Antonique Smith (Mimi), Destan Owens (Collins), Justin Johnston (Angel), Haven Burton (Maureen), Nicole Lewis (Joanne), D'Monroe (Benny)
Highlights of two shows. The first, with Matt Caplan as Mark, runs about an hour and has a few nice close ups. The second, with Luther Creek as Mark, runs about 30 minutes and is mostly quite distant. To the best of my knowledge, the only video with Luther Creek as Mark.

Highlights. Around an hour and a half's worth, though there are a fair few blackouts during that too. But what's there is usually well shot, with some really nice close ups.

Strong angle from the upper left balcony and a fair amount of washout. Shooting is OK, video is on the grainy side. Audio is nice, and it’s good to see Anthony, Adam, and Tamyra together. Has some digital audio glitching.

Harley got sick half way through act one and was replaced by Kyle Post. This was supposed to be Harley's final day in the show. Filmed from the mid-mezzanine house left. Some heads in the way but nothing terrible. "You'll See" through "Tango: Maureen" is sound only picture starts back up at "Life Support." Video is missing "Will I?" through "We're Okay." Act Two is complete. VOB.

Not the best shot but it's decent, and it improves as it goes. Some washout and highly angled from the rear mezz. Heads whenever it’s not a super tight shot and some washout. Heavily focused on Eden.

Well shot but distant footage taken from Meeks’ social video channels and run through the usual process. It’s not great quality, but it’s better than the nothing going around otherwise. MP4. stillreprise’s master. Begins halfway through the first song and ends after I’ll Cover You (Reprise). Shot around heads and poles. I’m not too familiar with this show (and this camera) so most of the beginning is me trying to get used to the zoom and trying to find the characters. The beginning is pretty unwatchable but it gets better as the show goes on. The Voicemails are all offscreen because they were too far downstage and the Tango Maureen was too far left for my camera to reach but I tried my best. Several dropouts throughout and I may have accidentally stopped recording a few times. Quality is also very grainy in darker-lit scenes. Flashing light warning for Contact (after Voicemail #4). Definitely not a good video for first-time viewers but pretty good if you want to see this cast. NFT until 1st April 2022.
24th October 2021 Matinee
Cody Jenkins (Mark Cohen), Coleman Cummings (Roger Davis), Shafiq Hicks (Tom Collins), Jarred Bedgood (Benjamin Coffin III), Rayla Garske (Joanne Jefferson), Javon King (Angel Schunard), Aiyana Smash (Mimi Marquez), Lyndie Moe (Maureen Johnson), Lexi Greene (Mark's Mom & Others), Jahir L. Hipps (Christmas Caroler/Mr. Jefferson/Paster/Others), Charlotte Odusanya (Mrs. Jefferson/Woman with Bags/Others), Stephen Rochet Lopez (Gorden/The Man/Mr. Grey/Others), James Schoppe (Steve/Man with Squeegee/Waiter/Others), Mathew Bautista (Paul & Others), Yz Jasa (Alexi Darling/Roger's Mom/Others)
Act one visuals start during Rent and ends during Today 4 U. Act 2 starts during Seasons of Love and is full thereafter. Gets better as I get more confident, which is halfway through Without You. Shot between two heads, bottom right stage action is typically always missed due to this. My hand is shaky but still typically follows the action. Includes a full audio taken from my phone. Also includes .pdf of the program and a .mov bows video. NFT Forever. TrustingDesire’s master.
24th October 2021 Evening
Cody Jenkins (Mark Cohen), Coleman Cummings (Roger Davis), Shafiq Hicks (Tom Collins), Jarred Bedgood (Benjamin Coffin III), Rayla Garske (Joanne Jefferson), Javon King (Angel Schunard), Carlina Parker (u/s Mimi Marquez), Lyndie Moe (Maureen Johnson), Lexi Greene (Mark's Mom & Others), Jahir L. Hipps (Christmas Caroler/Mr. Jefferson/Paster/Others), Charlotte Odusanya (Mrs. Jefferson/Woman with Bags/Others), Stephen Rochet Lopez (Gorden/The Man/Mr. Grey/Others), James Schoppe (Steve/Man with Squeegee/Waiter/Others), Mathew Bautista (Paul & Others), Yz Jasa (Alexi Darling/Roger's Mom/Others)
Final performance in Detroit! Also Carlina’s Mimi debut since the tour reopened. Full show, though there’s about 20sec of muffling around the beginning of each act. Act one suffers from a head blocking center front stage that I attempt to shoot around, though act 2 is clear. Act 1 also tends to be higher than the action, but I usually fix it pretty quickly and it’s much better in act 2. Includes a full audio taken from my phone. Also includes .pdf of the program and a .mov bows video. TrustingDesire’s master. NFT Forever.
February 2022 (1)
JT Wood (Mark Cohen), Coleman Cummings (Roger Davis), Aiyana Smash (Mimi Marquez), Shafiq Hicks (Tom Collins), Javon King (Angel Schunard), Lyndie Moe (Maureen Johnson), Rayla Garske (Joanne Jefferson), Thomas Purvis (u/s Benjamin Coffin III), Lexi Greene (Mrs. Cohen), Elizabeth Adabale (Mrs. Jefferson/Seasons of Love Soloist #1), Jaylon Crump (u/s Mr. Jefferson/Seasons of Love Soloist #2), Stephen Rochet Lopez (Gordon), Matthew Bautista (Paul), James Schoppe (Steve), YZ Jasa (Alexi Darling)
Mynewfavoriteday’s master. It’s filmed in 16:9 with a mix of wides, mediums, and closeups from the left mezzanine. There are multiple head obstructions on the right side of the stage that are seen in a number of the scenes and songs but it is filmed around as best as possible when affected, and there are numerous instances of coverups caused by latecomers and ushers that are mostly seen through the first minutes of each act. Most notably, Light My Candle is audio only and the first 40 seconds of Seasons of Love is blacked out as an audience member tripped and knocked into my seat, and the audio during this moment has been replaced by audio from a separate performance. The sound is excellent. Includes playbill scans. NFT until 1st September 2022. HD.

Mynewfavoriteday’s master. It’s filmed in 16:9 with a mix of wides, mediums, and incredible closeups from the right mezzanine. Due to technical issues, Act One is blacked out until Today 4 U right before Angel's entrance, but audio is included. There are some extremely rare obstructions at the very bottom left of the screen whenever the action happens on the very side of the stage, a couple of short dropouts for latecomers during Act Two, and a few instances of dropouts while the camera wandered. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans. NFT until 1st September 2022. HD.

Includes Video, Audio (tracked and untracked), and Digital playbill pages. TheatreCouple14's master. Terrible, fuzzy, unfocused video, but for Rentheads, we're totally used to this, right? Whole show included and action followed well, but not in focus. Audio is clean, although there can be some talking from noisy neighbors heard throughout.
